The
UA1881SO Series is a Hall IC Latch, offered in five temperature selections
as indicated below. The output transistor will "latch on" (BOP)
in the presence of a sufficiently
strong North Pole magnetic field, and remain latched until a sufficiently
strong South Pole magnetic field is applied, at which point it will
"latch off"(BRP).
The US1881SO is the smallest Hall Effect
IC in the world, at about 4.5 sq. millimeters in surface area. The performance
is identical to it's UA package counterpart. However, the magnetic operate
and release points are inverted (reverse magnetic polarity), because of
chip position. The tables below illustrate specifications and limits for
this device.
